We hear a man’s voice telling the story of a brief encounter with an unknown woman, in which they only exchanged glances. At the same time the thoughts of a woman, who decides to end her love affair, are projected on a wall. By presenting two story lines simultaneously, in the same space, the viewer is invited to create his own story. Are we witnessing the beginning and the end of a relationship? Are these the thoughts of two strangers who are about to meet for the first time? Are these two story lines part of one story at all?

glances (2007) was first presented by Cheap Art Gallery in the scope of the Athens Art Fair – Art Athina. The work was shown at the Athens Conservatoire and the Contemporary Art Center of Thessaloniki as part of the exhibition Flying Over The Abyss (2016), curated by Dimitris Paleokrasas.
